Christmas Preparations

Ellie did a great job decorating the tree this year.  She liked to put multiple ornaments in one spot and then decided to rearrange them several times over the past few weeks : )

 Christmas jammies!

Painting gifts for our family at Paint-N-Play.

After the painting comes the playing!

 Clare Bear and Santa!

 Writing a letter to Santa...

and personally delivering it and reading it to him : )

Checking out the snow show at the Great Wolf Lodge.

 The life-sized Gingerbread House

Waiting for the Nutcracker to begin!

"Posing" with some dancers during the intermission.

We had such a fun time!  It was our first "Ellie and Mommy date" since Clara was born.

Ellie's favorite part of the ballet was when the little girls were all rocking their babies in a circle during the opening scene.  She kept asking where the babies were and why those loud boys woke them up throughout the show : )

Ellie's first smiling picture on Santa's lap!!!

It was so precious to watch her talk to Santa.  She thanked him for the personal message that he sent her : )  Then, she told him that she wanted a dolly and a purple present for Christmas.  Lastly, she told him that she would leave him a really big cookie!

Our "Elf on the Shelf," Pete.  Here, Ellie is saying goodbye to him on Christmas Eve as he will be leaving with Santa for the North Pole until next year.  He will be missed!
