Welcome, Brooke Elise!

We were checking out the lights at the zoo when the first signs of labor began.

Brooke was born on Saturday, November 23rd at 6:39 am.  Arriving one week late, she weighed 8 lbs, 5.9 oz and was 20 inches long.

Some first snuggles.

Time to head home!

Her big sisters were very anxious to meet her!

Dixie also has to say hello.

And now a family of five!

Some great alert time at 3 days old.

We finally purchased a vehicle that fits our soon-to-be family of five and brought our new minivan home on Wednesday.  39 weeks pregnant and everything is set and ready to go!  Now it is just a waiting game until our baby girl is ready for her arrival...

No more cast!

Ellie had her cast taken off on Monday.  The x-rays showed that her leg is healing well, so just two more weeks in a walking boot!  The process of taking off the cast and the feeling of not having it on anymore was pretty upsetting for her.  She was sore and unsure of the boot for a couple of days, but is now feeling great and walking around the house like a champ!

Happy Halloween!

No hayride this year... just a cold weeknight trip to the farm to pick a pumpkin!

Having fun together at the Moms Club Halloween party.

Getting ready to trick-or-treat at Powell's Candy by the Carload.

Showing off her wings : )

Ready for another round of trick-or-treating at Boo at the Zoo!

This one wore them out!

Clara has been pretty attached to her candy this week.  She never asks to eat it, but likes to carry it around with her everywhere she goes.  Then, she finds a place to sit and takes each piece out one by one and lays it on the floor around her.  When she's finished, she'll put each piece back in her bag one by one.

Clara got to wear a costume to her Preschool Movement class this week, so we went with the pumpkin this time.

 Ellie's Preschool Halloween Party

Planting magic pumpkin seeds with Daddy...

and they really were magic!

Pumpkin Preparations

Ellie drew the eyes and nose, but needed a little help drawing what she had envisioned for the mouth!

Clara chose the silly pumpkin from her Pumpkin Faces book.

All dressed up, but too rainy to go out!  Good thing they did so much trick-or-treating the weekend before!

The girls with their neighborhood pals, Jackson and William.

Luckily, they were very content just sitting at the door and passing out candy to the trick-or-treaters who did brave the weather.
