Winter Update

We have definitely had our share of snowy days this winter! Ellie seemed to prefer playing with the snow indoors rather than being outside in the freezing cold temperatures.

We have also been trying to find fun indoor activities to keep us busy on the weekends. Here, Ellie is playing in the water at the Children's Museum.

We have been anxiously awaiting the arrival of Baby Lash #2! One major project that has kept Justin busy over the past couple of months is finishing our basement. Right now, Justin works from his office in our third bedroom upstairs. When the basement is finished, Justin's office will be down there along with a family room and play area. The third bedroom will then be free for either a nursery or a new room for Ellie depending on whether Baby Lash is a boy or a girl!

Here I am 36 weeks pregnant with Ellie. I have been asked several times if I am carrying the baby any differently this time than I did the last time. I feel like I have carried both babies the same.

Here I am at 36 weeks with Baby Lash #2.

My co-workers surprised me with a Baby Shower last week!

Since this is my second baby, they decided to surprise me with a day of pampering at the "Becoming Mom" spa!

Ellie and her friend Austin at his 2nd birthday party!

Playing a fishing game at the party.

The theme of the party was "Happy Feet." She was eyeing the penguin cupcakes from the moment we arrived!

Ellie has started to enjoy more pretend play with her dolls and babies. Here, she was "feeding" her doll and quietly whispering things to her throughout their lunch!

Ellie enjoyed spending a weekend with her Grandpa and Grandma Eberhardt. They even made special Valentine's Day cookies together!

December

The first snowfall of the winter.

Snow Angels!

Christmas Preparations

Ellie was very curious when Justin brought up the tree. He told her what it was and even though she obviously didn't remember it from last year, she screamed like she knew it was exciting and shouted, "Christmas Tree!!!"

Decorating the tree.

Painting a gift for her grandparents at Paint N Play.

Taking a break from painting to play with her friend Austin!

Making a yummy treat - almost all by myself!

And making sure to eat plenty of M&M's while I'm at it!

Lots of excited cheering, dancing, and running at the Festival of Lights!

Ellie could have stood here in the cold and watched the show on the lake for hours if we let her!

Christmas

A new Elmo bike helmet for the spring!

Santa's note to Ellie.

Giving her Cabbage Patch baby a bottle.

Ellie turns 2!!!

Hi, Bob!

Ellie's Birthday Party at Chuck E. Cheese. Right before this picture, the giant mouse had placed the Birthday crown on her head. She is not a fan of anything that is dressed-up!

Daddy in the ticket-blaster!

Watching the characters on stage and dancing along.

This is about as close as she would get to the mouse!

Birthday pancakes for breakfast!

Enjoying more Birthday cake in Terre Haute.

Grandma Lash and her three great grandaughters.
