It wouldn't be a Lash Baptism without some fussiness. As if on cue, as soon as the ceremony started, so did Clara! She tried to fall asleep a few times througout the ceremony, but we kept waking her up with oil and water : )

One Week Old

Clara had her first doctor's appointment on Monday. She is doing great and is falling in the 5oth percentile for weight and somewhere between the 75-90th percentile for height. About the same percentiles as Ellie, except she outgrew the length of her newborn sleepers much quicker!

Clara is what the books call a "sleepy baby." She slept quite a bit her first week, and is just now starting to wake up on her own to eat. When she does get upset, she still seems mellow. I wonder if it's already an indicator of a laid back personality?

Clara arrived at 4:01 a.m. on March 14th.

She weighed 7lbs 13.5 oz and measured 21 inches.
