Summer Stuff

Ellie participated in Paws for Reading again at the library.  She made sure to choose different books this time just in case she ended up reading to the same dog. : )

 Clara is cast-free!

The girls did a week of swim lessons at our pool.  Somehow I caught Clara at the prime of her participation!  She blew some bubbles and did one lone bob.  I don't think that she remembers being in the pool last summer.

Ellie was her regular fish self.

Visiting the butterflies at the Franklin Park Conservatory.

Cutie pie asked for this picture to be taken.

We love our ice cream around here!  Trying one of Daddy's favorites- Chocaholic Chunk.

Clara never leaves a drop of dessert behind!

Summer dance classes have begun!  This is Clara's first time wearing dance attire (to class anyway).
Ellie is also excited to tap again.

Their response to my request- "strike a dance pose."

Spring into Summer

Mother's Day brunch.

Happy Mother's Day!

Costume Day! The first step towards a water fairy production.

Ready for the show!

I wasn't able to get any photos during their performance, but I did take a few during the finale after the lights were turned up.

It wasn't ice cream kind of weather, but we celebrated with some anyway!

Ellie with her two preschool favorites, Jack and Kelsey, at a party that their class planned for all of the parents at the end of the year.

Ready for one final day of preschool.

After today, she moves down the hall to Kindergarten!

After taking so many pictures of Ellie that morning, Clara asked me to take this one of her as we left Ellie's school.  : )

Ellie's "true love" Jack Bond.  Thank you Disney.  Thank you very much.

A picture with all of the teachers at the end-of-the-year picnic.  Clara is standing with Mrs. Boyson, who will be one of her teachers in the fall.  She can not wait to go to school like her big sister!

We started a new tradition!  Our second annual end of the school year sleep-under!

Just about every night, Clara makes her way into Ellie's room to fall asleep.  Ellie is out for the count once she falls asleep so she doesn't even notice!  I carry Clara back to her room when I go to bed, but they can be found like this most mornings : )

True, true sisters.  And ever after friends.  (Sofia the First)

6 months.  Say what?!?!

I'm hungry, mama!

This little one is getting herself around!  She rolls and pulls herself to wherever it is she wants to be.

Clap along if you feel like happiness is the truth...

Rocking out on all fours.

clara's turn...

Clara fell on her arm last Wednesday while riding bikes.  We took her to the ER and found out that she has a buckle fracture in her wrist.

A popsicle turned the day around for her!

She went to the orthopedic doctor on Monday and picked out a purple cast.  She goes back in three weeks and will hopefully get her cast off just in time for summer!

Spring Fever

Ellie has turned into quite the little soccer player this season.

Spending a day during spring break playing and learning at the zoo.

 I love the zoo, too!

Eating a special "dirt sundae" in celebration of Earth Day.

We spent an afternoon at Chuck E. Cheese using tokens and tickets leftover from Clara's birthday.  Somehow, we still have more tokens left to spend!

 Caterpillars!

 Time for the butterfly release!

Oh, to be a kid again and appreciate the joys of a rainy day- stomping in puddles and catching raindrops on your tongue!

Celebrating her oldest friend's birthday : )

Exploring vehicles at a Touch-a-Truck event.

Partners in crime...let's hope this is the only time they're ever in this situation!
