Summer Highlights

It is back to school and work time at our house. I ended up having a few extra days at home with the girls...unfortunately it was because they were sick! We had a fantastic summer though, and have about a million pictures to remember it by!

Look who has two teeth....it's the happiest baby in the world!

Clara is getting pretty close to sitting by herself now.

Bubbles!!!

Clara started eating cereal a few weeks ago. She of course eats with gusto!

Roasting marshmallows with the McCain family.

Ellie's first "Go Reds" game with her Daddy!

Skyline time!

She told me the next morning that she picked the blue one, not pink!

Ellie was determined to see fireworks, so she managed to stay awake until the seventh inning when Jay Bruce hit a home run! Ellie and Daddy even made it on the jumbotron! Justin said it was the best Reds game that he's ever been to : )

I had the best birthday this year because we took Ellie to Kings Island!

She said that her favorite rides were the merry-go-round and the log ride!

LaRosa's!

My graduation from Ball State.

We spent a lot of time at the Cincinnati Zoo this summer.

Ellie wanted her picture taken with the elephants : )

Snakes...

snakes...

and more snakes!

A new friend : )

We had fun when the Winner family came to visit! This was about as good of a picture as I could get of four children three and under!

Steph came by that day too!

Jumping with Cullen

Entertrainment Junction with Austin

Not sure if this was a look of determination or of anger...
My Account
It was Christmas in July there and this was as close as either of them would get to Santa!

Lots of water play this summer with Austin!

So sweet. Reading books to Clara : )

This day reminded me of the movie Vacation. Justin and Ellie were excited to go to the pool, but when they arrived, there was a sign on the door that said they had to close for the day. Ellie walked around for days saying, "Sorry, pool's closed."

They decided to run through the sprinkler instead!

Ellie always wants to help : )

Our Girls

Our little Clare-Bear is four months old today! She is a strong little girl and can hold her head up well, however she hasn't attempted to roll just yet! Clara has an easy-going personality and has been happy to hang out and enjoy the scenery as we have been out and about entertaining Ellie these past few weeks.

Ellie gets sillier by the day : ) This is classic Ellie, as she ran away after her bath and quickly put on a pair of shoes before we even had a chance to get a diaper on her or brush her hair! She definitely keeps us entertained!

Summer

Father's Day Crowning

Ellie loves to hold Clara like this, but I have a feeling she's not going to be able to much longer!

Go Reds!

Matt and Vicky's wedding in Chicago

Red, White, and Blue Ash

Somehow, Clara slept through the fireworks.

Happy Fourth of July!

rainy spring, hot summer, lots of pictures!

Ellie had her first "Magical Movements" dance class last Saturday. I also had to participate ...while Elllie observed : )

She was very proud of the stamp on her hand though after class.

Georgia's 2nd Birthday Party!
This was the first time I have ever seen Ellie not act afraid of someone who is dressed-up. She got both of her hands and her face painted by the clown!

She just loved this clown!

Bubbles with Georgia

Family time : )

" Get cozy, Daddy."

Clara loves to snuggle and be cozy.

Tummy-time support : )

Clara is such a happy and expressive baby- she's always smiling and laughing!

Hanging out under the umbrella at the Blue Ash pool while Daddy and Ellie swim.

Swimming in Rob and Nikki's pool. Ellie is getting more comfortable each time we go swimming. She likes to show you her "kick and paddle," and she is working on blowing bubbles and putting her face in the water. She will be a little fish by the end of the summer!

Butterflies of Brazil at Krohn's Conservatory

Check out the butterfly on my skirt!

A butterfly also rested on my collar bone nearly the entire time we were there.

Eden Park

Ellie stalling, I mean... being silly after her bedtime bath : )
